  • Katie Brown, Charleston School of LawThe National Business Institute (NBI) has selected Dean Katie Brown as a 2025 Outstanding Faculty Award recipient.  This award recognizes exceptional legal educators who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to continuing legal education — sharing their expertise, real-world experience, and passion for helping others succeed in their practice.
  • 03.19.2026: Dean Brown presented for a Charleston Law Professionalism Series event on AI & Legal Ethics.
  • 03.23.2026: Dean Brown and Megan White, Assistant Dean of Career Services & Director of Judicial Clerkships, spoke at Burr & Forman LLP to law firm Chief Marketing Officers from around the country to discuss how to train/educate the next generation of lawyers differently due to AI, and the need for business development.
  • 03.24.2026: Dean Brown was a panelist on the “Building Your Legal Innovation Career” session, associated with the ILTA NextGen Legal Innovators event series. The topics for discussion were legal tech, career development, and innovation within the legal sector.
  • 03.25.2026: Dean Brown spoke to the Charleston Law Immigration Law Society about LinkedIn Profile Building: Getting Noticed & Building the Network.
