Charleston School of Law, No. 1 destination in the South

Southern Living Magazine has ranked Charleston the No. 1 destination in the South.

The honor marks the 10th consecutive year the city has topped the magazine’s annual South’s Best Awards.

“The Holy City brings home the hardware for the 10th year in a row, proving that what’s old can always be new again. Our readers will never tire of this Lowcountry gem’s sparkling harbor, charming historic architecture, and first-rate dining scene.”

The awards recognize readers’ favorite destinations and experiences across the region, including cities, beach towns, restaurants, hotels, and resorts.

Five area beaches are also ranked among the “Best of …” getaways in the South, including:

  • Folly Beach
  • Sullivan’s Island
  • Isle of Palms
  • Pawley’s Island
  • Kiawah Island
