UPCOMING COMMENCEMENT EVENTS

Date: Saturday, May 10, 2025

Location: The Citadel, 171 Moultrie Street, Charleston SC.  The Ceremony will take place in McAlister Field House. A map of The Citadel grounds can be found here. 

Time: 2:00 p.m. (Graduates should arrive at the designated staging area no later than 12:30 P.M.)

Seating: Tickets are not required and there is no reserved seating.  Doors to McAlister Field House will open at 12:00 noon.  All guests will be subject to the Citadel’s Clear Bag Policy and will enter through security screening.  Guests needing handicapped seating should contact Diane Rexroad.

Reception: Graduates and their guests are invited to attend a reception immediately following the ceremony, located on the Citadel’s Summerall Parade field.  Light hors d’oeurves will be provided.

Streaming: The Commencement Ceremony will be streamed, live, and may be accessed in real-time for free by visiting charlestonlaw.edu.

Attire: Full Graduation Regalia is required and can be ordered by visiting the Oak Hall Website.  Participants in the May 2025 Commencement Ceremony must order their regalia no later than April 8, 2025.

• School of Law Regalia: tam, tassel, gown, and hood are required to participate.
• Honor cords and pro bono cords will also be distributed by the School of Law. Student organization cords will be distributed separately by each individual student organization. 

Photos: GradImages will provide professional photography of each graduate as they cross the stage. Graduates will complete an information card when you complete your graduation packet if you are interested in ordering photos. Information regarding graduation packets will be sent at a future date.

Photographs will be posted online, and graduates will be provided a private password to access their individual images, or they may look them up by entering their last name and graduation year. Email notifications will be sent to each graduate when the photographs are available online. Full color proof cards will be mailed to the student’s home address within one week following the ceremony. For additional information, visit the GradImages website.
