Charleston School of Law students are participating in the 32nd annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria this week. The event has 384 teams representing 90 nations including 49 teams from United States law schools. Charleston Law has competed against Peking University School of Transactional Law (China), University of Würzburg (Germany), and Nova University of Lisbon, School of Law (Portugal) and are scheduled to compete next against The British University in Egypt (Egypt) on Tuesday.

Charleston Law 3L students Donovan Coker, Nic Cruz, Tiffany Maggiore, and Brooklie Hollis are joined by adjunct professor Chris Campbell (International Dispute Resolution: Theory & Practice) and Attorney and Coach Morgan Murphy (’23) in Austria for the 2025 Vis Moot competition. Charleston Law students spent six months of rigorous preparation including drafting a 50+ page memoranda for both Claimant and Respondent, participating in a series student-organized virtual pre-moots against international teams from four continents to practice and refine their oral arguments, and a showcase event with and against the University of South Carolina to compete on the world stage.

Final Exam Week for the Spring 2025 semester will be held at Charleston School of Law will be held Wednesday-Saturday, April 30–May 3 and Monday-Thursday, May 5 – May 8.
