Katie Brown

  • February 6: Dean Brown presented a two-hour CLE Computerize Your Trial Notebook with Dropbox, Word, and Excel.
  • February 12: Dean Brown presented two topics (Legal Research and Organization & Document Perfection) during a six-hour IPE Training titled Law Office Management Mastery for Paralegals.
  • Also in February, Dean Brown learned that her proposed book chapter on the topic of using micro-games in the law school classroom to assist with learning was accepted for the manuscript currently titled Ready or Not, Here They Come! Using Games in Legal Education to Engage Next-Gen Students to be published by Hein & Co. Inc.

Suzanne Chapman

  • Professor Chapman accepted an invitation to speak as a Guest Lecturer at Oxford University this summer as part of its collaborative Comparative Trial Advocacy Skills intensive, two-week international study abroad program with Stetson Law. The program teaches trial advocacy skills and explores differences and similarities across legal systems through guest lecturers and faculty from England, Ireland, Scotland, and the United States.
  • Professor Chapman accepted an invitation to present at the Educating Advocacy Teachers (EATS) Annual Conference: You See What I Said There: The power of words to shape others’ perception of reality to be held in June 2025.

Jean Steadman

  • Professor Steadman has been invited to judge the ABA Mediation Competition hosted by Loyola New Orleans College of Law.
