Robbins, Westbrook Award Nominations Open

Charleston School of Law 20th AnniversaryApplications are being accepted for the Michelle Robbins Award. This award is given in memory of Michelle Robbins, who passed away in 2007 after an accident during her second year of law school. Robbins, a member of the Charleston Law Review, was committed to many causes and was a true Renaissance woman.

The award is presented to the third-year student who best exemplifies commitment and dedication to public service and academics at Charleston Law. The recipient will receive an award in the amount of $1,000 and will be announced on Awards Day. 

Nominations are also being accepted for the 2025 Kat Westbrook Rock Star Award. The Rock Star Award will honor a Charleston School of Law student who emulates the personal qualities that Katherine (Kat) Adele Westbrook brought to the School of Law during her time as a student, 2020-2022.

The Rock Star Award will be presented to a School of Law student who has demonstrated leadership within Law School to promote collegiality, professionalism, diversity, inclusiveness, and equality.

The recipient will receive a $2,500 award and will also be announced on Awards Day. 

To apply, submit an essay (no more than one page in length) to Dean Bell, Office of Admission, describing the nominee’s commitment and activities at the Law School that emulate the qualities Kat exhibited at Charleston School of Law. The Kat Westbrook Rock Star Award is a scholarship granted through the generosity of the Adele A. and Harold J. Westbrook Foundation.

The deadline for applications for both honors is Thursday, April 10. Submit required application to Dean Bell in the Office of Admission.
