The Charleston School of Law will host a special Professional Series event on Constitution Day at 12:00 p.m. at the Charleston Museum Auditorium.
The theme of today’s discussion is “Litigating the Constitution” and will feature a panel discussion between three distinguished practitioners who specialize in litigation involving Constitutional issues. The panel will be moderated by Charleston Law Professor William Merkel.

Constitution Day and Citizenship Day commemorate the Constitution’s signing and recognize all who, by coming of age or by naturalization, have become citizens. By law, “the civil and educational authorities of States, counties, cities, and towns are urged to make plans for proper observance of Constitution Day and Citizenship Day and for the complete instruction of citizens in their responsibilities and opportunities as citizens of the United States and of the State and locality in which they reside.”
Charleston School of Law Maymester 2025 classes will begin on Monday, May 12 and will run through Wednesday, May 21. Maymester Final Exams will be held on Friday, May 23.
Charleston Law professors Kevin Eberle and Frank Ulmer will present at the 2025 Carolinas Legal Research and Writing Colloquium at Duke Law School. Eberle and Ulmer will discuss crafting trial and appellate problems for Legal Writing and Advocacy programs.
