Dukes (’09) named to Family Law Power List

South Carolina Lawyers Weekly recently named attorney Rene Stuhr Dukes (’09) to its annual “Family Law Power List.” Dukes, a 2009 graduate of the Charleston School of Law, is a shareholder at Saxton & Stump.

“I’m thrilled that South Carolina Lawyers Weekly decided to include me on its Family Law Power List,” said Dukes said. “I know first-hand that the state’s family law attorneys are some of the best in the South, so to be included on such a prestigious list like this is a great honor. And congratulations go out to all my colleagues who were also honored on the list.”

Those named to the list are considered accomplished senior leaders in their field who often receive referrals from other attorneys and think creatively for their clients.

In her family law practice, Dukes handles a wide variety of domestic issues, including child custody, parental alienation, third-party custody and visitation, modification actions, alimony, divorce, equitable division, termination of parental rights, and familial adoption.

Dukes is active in serving the greater good in the Charleston community. Her pro bono work includes helping victims of human trafficking. In 2019, she was named “Pro Bono Attorney of the Year” in Charleston County. Dukes is also ranked among the “Legal Elite” with Charleston Business Magazine for 2019-2024.
