Charleston Law hosts annual Moot Court competition

Charleston School of Law Moot Court Board will host the 33rd annual Judge John R. Brown Admiralty Moot Court Competition in Charleston, South Carolina, from March 19-21.

Eighteen teams will compete, including:

  • Roger Williams University School of Law
  • University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law
  • South Texas College of Law Houston
  • Southwestern Law School
  • Suffolk University Law School
  • University of Texas School of Law
  • Tulane University Law School
  • Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law
  • Washington University School of Law (St. Louis)

Preliminary rounds are scheduled to be held in downtown Charleston, at the Francis Marion Hotel and the Hampton Inn Historic.

Thursday, March 19th:

  • 9:00 AM
  • 10:30 AM
  • 12:00 PM
  • 1:30 PM
  • 3:00 PM

Friday, March 20th: 

  • 9:00 AM
  • 10:30 AM
  • 12:00 PM
  • 3:00 PM (quarterfinals)

On Saturday, March 21, the semifinals and final round will be at the J. Waties Waring Judicial Center, United States District Court for the District of South Carolina.
