The Public Policy Institute at Charleston School of Law hosted The Premium Problem: Facts, Myths, and Real Solutions on campus on Friday. The event was an open and informed panel discussion on the factors driving insurance premiums for business owners and policies aimed at reducing liability risks.
The panel brought together voices from law, business, insurance, and advocacy to separate myth from fact and explore practical solutions that promote both business and public safety.
Distinguished panelists included State Senator Deon Tedder of SC District 42; Steven Burritt, Regional Executive Director of Mothers Against Drunk Driving; and Charleston School of Law Professor Emeritus and Insurance Attorney, Gerald (Jerry) Finkel.
