Julie D. Jones joined the Charleston School of Law faculty in August 2023. She graduated from the College of Charleston, cum laude, with an Artium Baccalaureatus in French Language and Literature. Thereafter, she graduated, cum laude, from the Charleston School of Law.
Professor Jones graduated from the College of Charleston, cum laude, with an Artium Baccalaureatus in French Language and Literature. Thereafter, she graduated, cum laude, from the Charleston School of Law. She went on to obtain her LL.M. in Taxation, along with a Certificate in International Tax, from Georgetown University Law Center.
After law school, Professor Jones held various positions, including roles in large and small firms, and served as in-house counsel for a healthcare company. Her practice focused mainly on taxation of entities, corporate and business law. She assisted clients in all matters that involved taxation, including mergers, acquisitions, real property transactions, and complex estate planning.
Professor Jones is a member of the South Carolina Bar, the Connecticut Bar, the Law-Related Education and Wellness Committees of the South Carolina Bar, and American Mensa.
