MLK Jr. Day

Charleston School of Law invites you to take part in the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade on Monday, January 19, at 10:00 a.m. in downtown Charleston. The parade will begin at Burke High School (244 President Street) and end at Mother Emanuel AME Church.

Charleston Law will be closed for business on January 19 to recognize the life and legacy of Dr. King.

  • IAAM KING: A Day of Celebration: The International African American Museum will host a series of events celebrating the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.
  • City of Charleston MLK Jr. Parade: Following the Parade, the public is invited to visit the Museum for an afternoon of activities and family-friendly experiences that reflect Dr. King’s enduring vision of justice, equality, and community.
