Advocacy Programs

TRIAL ADVOCACY

The Center for Trial Advocacy will serve law school students, alumni, and the local legal community by providing an opportunity to meet, collaborate, learn, and improve courtroom and advocacy skills. The Center will work closely with Charleston School of Law’s experienced faculty, alumni, and local community leaders to provide advocacy-centered curricular, extracurricular, CLE, Professionalism Series, internships, externships, and other networking opportunities and events.

TRANSACTIONAL LAW

Charleston School of Law is an ABA-accredited law school committed to preparing students to provide public service while pursuing their passions in various areas of the law. For students interested in practicing transactional, corporate, and business law, the Center for Business and Transactional Law provides an opportunity to learn everything from contract basics to the complexities of modern business law transactions.

MOOT COURT

The Charleston School of Law Moot Court facilitates and encourages advocacy skill development through practice and competition. Moot Court has been active since its establishment in 2005.

TRANSACTIONAL LAW EVENTS

  • TLT: The Closer

    The Transactional Law Team at Charleston School of Law will compete in The Closer at Baylor University School of Law in Waco, Texas on Thursday, January 15.

  • 12th Annual Tulane Professional Football Negotiation

    The Transactional Law Team at Charleston School of Law will compete in the 12th Annual Tulane Professional Football Negotiation Competition,  New Orleans, Louisiana, on January 30-31.
