- Defense of public entities in state and federal court litigation.
- Involved in all aspects of litigation with primary focus on motion practice and appeals—
filed over one hundred dispositive motions in state and federal court; briefed and argued seven appeals before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals; briefed and argued several appeals before the California Court of Appeal; filed three petitions for writ to the California Court of Appeal; and authored several Amicus Briefs filed in the California Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.

Law Clerk for Chief Justice Miguel S. Demapan, Nov. 2009 – Sept. 2010
- Prepared bench memoranda and draft opinions for the Chief Justice (published 7 opinions).
- Cases involved the following areas of law: government contracts; interpretation of the
Commonwealth Constitution; judicial disqualification; election law; interpretation of local appellate rules; and a certified question from the Ninth Circuit in an employment discrimination
case.
Northern California Innocence Project, Santa Clara, CA
Teaching Fellowship/Attorney, Sept. 2008 – Nov. 2009
- Represented clients with claims of actual innocence in state and federal habeas proceedings.
- Assisted with teaching law students in classroom setting and oversaw law student legal work
in clinical setting.
- Invited to U.S. Supreme Court as guest of the Chief Justice for an argument in which the
Innocence Project participated.
- Conducted research and drafted memoranda for supervising attorneys on issues ranging
from the Cal. Rules of Evidence to the constitutional basis underlying the post-conviction right
to obtain DNA evidence
