Henrry “Corky” Strickland is a Distinguished Visiting Professor of Law teaching Contracts. He earned a BA from Presbyterian College in English Language & Literature and a J.D. from Vanderbilt. Strickland has been a law professor for more than thirty years and is the former Dean of Samford University, Cumberland School of Law.

He served as Dean and Professor of Law at Cumberland School of Law (2014-2022) and previously served as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs (2001-2011), Associate Professor of Law (August 1992 to August 1997), Assistant Professor of Law (August 1988 to August 1992).
Strickland has taught Alternative Dispute Resolution; Arbitration; Civil Procedure; Conflict of Laws; Constitutional Law; Equitable Remedies; and Master of Studies in Law Courses: Introduction to Law & Legal Procedure (online)
He is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, a member of the American Arbitration Association’s Panel of Arbitrators & Mediators, a member of the ABA and AALS Sections on Dispute Resolution and the ABA Section’s Committee on Arbitration, a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution and a member of the Judge James Horton American Inn of Court.
