If you are interested in tax law and would like to work toward your pro bono graduation requirement, we encourage you to attend an information session on the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, on Wednesday, October 15, from noon – 1 p.m. in 224. William McLellan from the Trident Urban League will discuss this IRS program through which law students assist low-to-moderate income taxpayers with filing returns during next year’s tax season. Please sign up on CORE under the events tab. Lunch will be served. First-year students are welcome to attend this session as the program will begin after their first semester. Students can earn half credit for training, one hour of credit for the IRS exam, and full credit for service to the program.
