Alums appointed to House of Delegates
Charleston School of Law alumni Patrick Goodwyn (’14) and Skyler Wilson (’16) have been appointed to serve on the new House of Delegates 9th Circuit (Berkeley, Charleston).
Goodwyn earned his undergraduate degree from N.C. State where he studied Political Science and Government. His professional career includes McDonnell and Associates, PA, Smith Debnam Narron Drake Saintsing & Myers, L.L.P., assistant public defender for the Berkeley County Public Defender’s Office and is currently the Assistant Solicitor for the 9th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
Wilson is an attorney for Copland Stair Valz & Lovell in Charleston. He practices in appellate law, commercial law, and construction law. Prior to joining Copland Stair Valz & Lovell, he spent two years as a law clerk under Judge Geathers at the South Carolina Court of Appeals. Wilson also serves as an adjunct professor at Charleston School of Law.
The House of Delegates establishes policy for the Bar. Members meets at least twice a year and includes delegates from each judicial circuit. Between House meetings, the Board of Governors may act on matters not inconsistent with House policy.
The South Carolina Bar Board of Govenors met and voted on the new positions last week.
