Distinguished Visiting Professor
James Boyd joined the Charleston School of Law faculty as a Distinguished Visiting Professor after having taught as an adjunct professor for several years at the school. Boyd brings a wealth of experience in corporate law to the school. Prior to forming the law firm of Evans, Boyd & Carter, Boyd was a tax associate and later managing partner in the firm of Buist, Moore, Smythe & McGee. He has also been involved in several business ventures including partnerships in Wild Dunes Associates and The InterTech Group. He currently serves as on several boards and foundations, working with several finance committees. Boyd will teach Corporate Tax and Mergers and Acquisitions, as well as other corporate courses.
