School
kicks off fall speaker series Wednesday
CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Charleston School of Law's
Fall 2008 Professionalism Speaker Series starts out with a bang
Wednesday with a panel that will explore using the honor code
in law school and how its tenets can be applied to careers in
the law.
The school hosts several outstanding speakers every semester
to provide students with practical information on law as a profession.
The media are invited to cover any of the presentations, but
are asked to contact the School's press office in advance
Here is the full schedule of the school's fall speaker series:

Aug. 27, 2008, noon: Melissa Fried,
School of Law Honor Council; Tex Davis, senior assistant to
the Supreme Court Office of Disciplinary Counsel; and Richard
B. Ness, chairman of the Committee on Character and Fitness:
"Applying the Honor Code after Law School: Ethical Concerns
for Law Students as Future Lawyers." Location: Charleston
Music Hall.

South Carolina Bar: "Lawyers Helping Lawyers." Location:
