After CAP

Important Next Steps

Upon successful completion* of CAP, students will be offered admission to the next entering J.D. class at the Charleston School of Law. This offer is subject to the Charleston School of Law receiving the following:

  • Intent to enroll form completed and submitted online.
  • Final official transcript from your undergraduate degree-granting institution and, if applicable, graduate degree-granting institution.

*Successful completion is defined as actively participating in and passing both CAP courses. CAP students must earn a minimum of a “C” in each course and have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Failure to comply with the above requirements will cancel a successful CAP student’s admission to the Charleston School of Law.

Students who participate* in CAP and are unsuccessful are not eligible  to apply to the Charleston School of Law unless they have retaken the LSAT and scored significantly higher than their previous highest LSAT score. Additionally, CAP students who are unsuccessful are not eligible to participate in the CAP program again.

*Participation is defined as being enrolled in CAP classes the first day of the session.
