12/11/12: Charleston law advocacy programs excel in 2012

Charleston School of Law’s two advocacy programs had an exceptional year in 2012. Along with bringing home a National Championship from the National Tax Moot Court Competition – both the Moot Court Board and Trial Advocacy Board had a record number of students and faculty participate.

Both programs host internal competitions to select members for travel teams and external competitions.  Faculty sponsors, Professors Miller Shealy and Todd Bruno report that over 100 students participated in the programs, which led to the formation of 19 teams that competed throughout the United States on a variety of topics.

In addition to team honors, Charleston Law students were awarded eight individual honors. A full list of awards and honors is listed below:
