Many attorneys prefer the freedom and control of operating their own law practice. For those seeking to start and build a law practice, the process can be both exciting and overwhelming.

Career Path Consultant, Roland Jones, a Spartanburg attorney, provides programming and assistance to both students and alumni seeking to start and build a law practice.  Services include:

  • Offering CLE programs to students and alumni who are planning to enter solo practice. Seminar topics include basic ethical and practical issues in starting a solo practice;
  • Meeting with graduates and alumni on campus to review and evaluate issues in starting a solo practice;
  • Visiting the offices of  alumni solo practitioners to review and evaluate issues relating to office and practice matters;
  • Publishing periodic newsletters providing information regarding recent developments and upcoming seminars of special interest to solo practitioners.
