Remembering George Stinney’s execution 75 years later

June 16, 2019 – On this day 75 years ago, George Stinney became (and still remains) the youngest person ever executed in the United States. Thanks in part to the work of Professor Miller Shealy, his conviction was overturned in 2014. The State newspaper featured George’s case and some of Professor Shealy’s involvement in Sunday’s edition.
