SEPT. 24, 2018 – The Charleston Law community will have the opportunity to enjoy hot coffee and hot topics as part of the new Barrister Break series. The series, sponsored by the Sol Blatt Jr. Law Library, will feature professors, staff and alumni who will discuss cutting edge law related topics in an informal setting in the Barrister, a gathering place in the building that houses the library.
The series will open on Tuesday, September 25, at 3:30 p.m. with a conversation about privacy and internet law with Professor Allyson Haynes Stuart. The library plans to hold Barrister Breaks at least monthly if not more frequently.
“People with current and past relationships with our law school have a wide variety of passions for timely aspects of the law. The idea behind the Barrister Breaks is to create a relaxed forum for them to share their passions with our legal community,” Acting Associate Dean for Information Resources Katie Brown said.
